From Rags to Riches: A Bill’s Tale

“Bills!”

Bills, bills, and more bills;

Makes me want to take those pills.

Writing checks and sending them out

To pay the bills that come about.

Having no money, I’m in a rut;

Someone, “Please find my mutt!”

I made these bills; it is my own darn fault;

Where now I can’t afford, my favorite malt!

I only have one wish–that I were rich;

Which would be a wonderful switch!

Yet, knowing myself, I would still complain;

As the bills are just not the same.

Too much money is not always good.

I’d spend so much more, I bet I would.

Only to find myself back where I once was,

With no money right back in, the bill collectors’ jaws.

Bills, bills, and more bills–

They’re not full of fancy thrills!
