“Hello, I’m Bob, The Friendly Light Bulb”

I’m a light bulb big, and bright;
I make a room look huge with light!
I hang from the ceiling, or even a wall;
People decorate with me, they have a ball.

I come in many colors, sizes and shapes;
Sometimes I shine up people’s long, hanging drapes.
I accent this or even that;
Sometimes, I’ll even see a flying bat!

I get used in a kitchen, bathroom, basement, and such;
Sometimes, I get turned on with motion or a gentle touch.
I have so many uses, I can’t name them all.
I even get wet in a shower stall.

Whosoever invented me,
Must have needed a light to pee.
Oh, I’m so sorry, reader, if I offended you any.
Using me won’t save you many a penny.

What fun you could have with the stories I could tell.
All I’d have to do is whisper one secret; you’d be under my spell.
So if one day you hear a little voice while you shop for a light,
Remember this; it might be me, just giving you that fright.

From the poor little light bulb at your hardware store;
One among many bulbs and so much more.
