“Tea with Dolly: A Squirrel’s British Holiday”
Dolly, would you care for a spot of tea?
Please come join little ole me.
I would really enjoy your company;
A crumpet with your tea?
It’s so beautiful out today.
Wouldn’t you say?
The flowers bloom; the sun shines bright;
And the two of us, friends, such a delight.
I know you are reading this;
“Does my Brit accent come through, or did I miss?”
See, I’m an American squirrel on vacation here;
Oh, quit laughing so hard; you’re shedding a tear.
If my accent is off, at least I tried.
Can you call a taxi? I need a ride.
As I’m only here for a short while.
I enjoyed your company with a smile.
Ta, Ta, dear Dolly, have a great day.
Maybe I’ll be back sometime next May.
