“Crazy Cats”
These are my buddies, can’t you see?
Looking scraggly, just like me.
We sing together, like birds of a feather,
We do it in any — you guess it — in any weather.
We have our fun, as goofy as can be;
Until one of us gets stuck in a tree!
With a screech and a cry, looking down from the sky,
Cross-eyed Alex saw strange witches fly by.
“Come join our group,” he said.
“Come play with us,” chimed long-tongue Fred.
No time to vacuum or clean out our house;
It’s time to catch our dinner, a runaway mouse!
Ready, set, go — wouldn’t you know;
Someone had to step on my already sore toe.
These crazy friends of mine, you’ll just love;
Sent to me by my friend, Jesus above.
He’s not here—we’re too crazy for Him;
Yet in His heart, we all of us cats win.
This is just a little about my crazy cat group;
Now Mother Nature is calling me, I’ve got to poop!
