“Sir, do you hear that Christmas song?”
Yes, Christmas is coming, it won’t be long.
“So, why do bells at Christmas ring?
Why do little children sing?
Was there once a lovely, shining star;
Seen by wise men from afar?”
Yes, dear child, there was a shining star.
That three shepherds saw from afar.
These wise men slowly traveled towards its light,
When they arrived, they saw a manger cradled, bright.
There lay a baby on the neatly laden hay,
A special child was born on this special day.
His mother sang softly, she, sweetly, smiled;
She welcomed them to see, Christ, the Holy Child.
This is why you hear little children sing,
Hence the church bells ring.
For happiness brings those tears of joy;
That comes with the love of this little boy!
