“What makes a monster?”

A monster can be human or animal;

And you know that’s undeniable.

Monsters can be shadows from a tree;

Especially at night, when the mind runs free.

Sometimes a monster is imagination;

It can be on any television station.

You can make a monster from clay and sand;

It can even be as loud as a marching band.

But what really makes a monster, a monster?

Answer: Us — we are the ones who make monsters;

In the stories we tell, the fears we embrace, and the choices we make.
