A Camel’s Paradise: Amen
It’s beautiful living out in the sun.
Enjoying my cool beverage some.
A nice breezy day, the sun bright.
Carrying no one, what a delight!
Camels get put to work too much.
We seldom get to have a relaxing lunch.
Walking across deserts, with humans and such,
I didn’t mind being their carryall crutch.
Yet some humans would be heavy; they’d load me down.
Others would rush me and say, “Let’s go to town.”
Nature did not design camels to move or run fast.
If you want us to survive in the desert, heat blasts.
Deserts are hot, and so is their sand.
Yet camels are always in demand.
Here, I appreciate the change of pace.
I love it here; this is a pleasant place!
