“Painting the Town, No Taxi Needed”
When the sun goes down,
The night begins in my favorite town.
Time to paint the whole town red;
I am going to paint it from my dilapidated bed.
I got beer, brandy, and a bottle of wine.
No food to eat, lots to drink, I will be fine.
I will drink it all before the night is through;
Mix it up and then go to spew.
As I said, the sun is going down.
This night has begun, but not in town.
I am painting the town a bright color red;
All over my bathroom, and old sheeted bed.
Tomorrow morning is coming soon;
My bed is spinning, please stop my room.
I must be drunk, like a skunk, lost in a forest.
Cause my clothes no longer look their best.
I spewed so hard I lost my false teeth.
I will find them next year, on somebody’s wreath!
Oh my, the town is all red;
I am ready to pass out on the bed.
That is, it for me;
I can no longer see.
Am I home?
Goodnight; my mind is out of sorts.
