“Running’s of Waters:
Sorrow and Strength.”
Of the first day when rains start to pour;
It’s so sad when God opens heaven’s door.
Hash flooding, pouring millions of gallons and more,
Rushing past homes and trees, making hearts soar.
Weather notices and timeless reports,
Making people aware of timing and recourse.
TV, radio, even cell phone calls, too,
A storm is a brewing—they give you the clue.
For the meteorologist, it’s just a guess,
Or other times it can be a royal mess.
As rivers, lakes, and creeks fill to their brim,
Look out, you swimmers—you maybe will have to swim?
Waters rising quickly, everything filling up fast;
Not knowing how long it will last.
Water in rivers moving at unhealthy speeds,
Look out everyone—water can do evil deeds!
It can destroy houses, kill adults, children and dogs.
Even wildlife, alligators, toads, and big fat frogs.
God can move many mountains and move water.
He can control all but never means to kill or slaughter.
He loves His all and doesn’t want them to die.
Yet many are suffering and believer’s cry.
He sees the need is great,
He acts and is sorry for all who lost fate.
There will be moments when water subsides;
Everything will surely improve once it dries.
Yet unwanted memories will remain,
In God’s world, no one suffers in vain.
