A Fly, a Pie, and a Black Eye: A Whimsical Poem

That Darn Fly: He’s Eating MY Pie

That darn fly kept bothering my pie;

I just couldn’t let that slide.

I grabbed the swatter, bat, and the broom;

Chased the bugger around the room.

I tripped and crashed; I nearly went through a wall.

I had to go to the hospital, from my flipping fall.

As for the little fly ~ he now can have my pie.

I’m hurting to bad and now have a black eye.

Enjoy it, you darn little fly.

You can have the whole fricken pie…
