“Ghost Cutie Pie”
It tis that time of year;
When our ghost friend, Cutie Pie is near.
Every fall in October, he comes to visit;
Dressed up on Halloween, looking exquisite!
You can’t see him during the summer;
Which to him is not a bummer.
He only comes around in the middle of fall;
When leaves are falling, like a beautiful waterfall.
He comes into our house;
More welcome than a mouse.
He loves to hide behind our things;
He’s very quiet; never sings.
My children know when he’s around;
Looking for him though, he can’t be found.
But when the children take their bath;
Cutie Pie joins them, with no towel he hath.
A warm breeze tickles them when Cutie’s around;
Waving their towels and never making a sound.
Cutie Pie has a non-favorite place in our house;
It is where we keep the traps for the not wanted mouse.
As you may have figured out by now;
Cutie Pie is not a dog or even a milking cow.
Cutie Pie is just the furnace blowing air;
Floating around the house with all its flare.
From every grate and vent, Cutie finds his way;
Keeping us warm throughout the nastiest winter day!
Now you know who our Fall visitor, Cutie Pie is;
Enjoy his warmth with his playful, fizz.
As when Winter comes, Cutie Pie will always be near;
Keeping you toasty warm, without a single fear.
