Reunite Mind and Body for Wellness

“Mind and Body: A Reunion Story”

When the sync of body and mind is gone,

Nothing feels natural – something is wrong.

Will it correct itself and come to peace?

Will the confusion of the two even cease?

When the mind is overworked, frustrated and tired,

You know like after working twelve hours or being fired.

It needs a vacation just like the body’s muscles do,

The nerve endings get frazzled, then you feel blue.

And as you age, it takes longer to engage.

It’s nothing like a quick shot at this stage.

Your mind and body feel like a book, misplaced,

Hunting for balance it once had embraced.

With proper care and a little love,

You need to treat it gently with a loving glove

Then one day the pieces will come around,

And work together once again, safe and sound.

You’ll dance once more to a gentle tune,

Like children laughing with a big red balloon.

Your body and mind will have mended itself,

While finding its proper place on a dusty shelf.

Now that the body and mind work as one,

Now you can focus on that hobby, gun,

And whittle away freely, until it’s done.

I know you like to whittle, so, have your fun!
