“A Child’s Question: Mom Died… Why Do I Hurt?”
Mr. Brewster, I need help with how to deal;
I need answers on why this way I feel.
Mr. Brewster, my mom just died.
Why am I crying — and please don’t lie?
I hurt inside. Is she ever coming back?
This information is what I lack.
Tell me, Mr. Brewster, where did she go?
This I so badly want to know.
“Well, my dear child, I will tell you a tale
Of an angel soul who had to set sail.”
“See on that special day that we are born,
A very special angel came and blew his horn.
And in his horn, there was a day
When you’re told to come back home to stay.”
“Until that day, we live our lives as we choose,
Loving all that comes– we do not lose.
Your mother’s day arrived, as the angel had known.
Her inner soul went with the angel, and they had flown…
To the clouds to join more like her–
This is why your eyes do blur.
For your hurt and pain is of missing her,
For you want things to be as they once were.”
“You also want to see her smiling face,
As you saw it home here in your loving place.
I know you want to feel Mom’s loving touch,
For these are the things you’re missing oh, so much.”
“I’m sorry, my dear child — Mom won’t be coming home.
She’s with the angels in the clouds where she will roam.
Yet she can see you everywhere and every day.
She can also hear everything that you say.”
“Your mom is so special now that she has gone away,
Did you know you carry her with you every day?
Just look inside your mind and your heart —
See and feel her memories, for they will never part.”
“Mom left you, Dad, and everyone a special part of her.
She left all of you memories that will be remembered, that is for sure.”
“Just remember all the hugs and kisses your mom has given to you and others.
As of now, she has joined a new club with a lot more mothers…
Who are looking down through the clouds to also see their children.
Just remember to look up at the sky — watch and listen.
For mom is always going to be there,
As she will always love you and knows you still care.”
“This is the reason you hurt inside and cry.
Mom sees you — she’s winking from the sky.
As her love for you
Will always and forever hold so true.”
XOXOXOX
(Kisses and Hugs)
