“Leaving on Vacation for A While”

I’m sorry, I must let everyone know,

That I’m leaving Wisconsin, so.

As rest and relaxation come first,

Entertainment spending is the worst.

I’ll be back when the excitement settles down.

I love you all, please don’t frown.

I loved it here it’s sure been fun,

Take care all, toot-ta-loo, I must run.

My plane leaves pretty soon,

Oh my, it’s almost half past noon.

Got to be on that vacation plane,

Can’t be late or the pilot will complain.

I’ll do some writing; while I relax,

When I get back, I’ll give you the facts.

Now if you believe I’m going away,

I sure hate to burst your bubble today.

You’re stuck with me for at least a year.

Grab a lemonade and give me a beer.

Let’s party hardy, till the cows come home.

Maybe someday we’ll all go to Rome!
