“Saint Patrick’s Day“
Who wants to share my pot of Gold?
It’s from the luck of an Irishman, I’m told.
One coin each, I freely bestow,
To hearts that care, let kindness grow.
For I am Saint Patrick, Apostle so true,
In Ireland’s soil, my mission grew.
Captured young, a slave was I
Under Irish skies, my spirit did cry.
Six years passed, till I broke away,
To my family’s arms, I returned one day.
But a vision called, a voice so clear,
“Return to Ireland, bring faith near!”
So back I went, my heart aglow,
Spreading the Gospel, watching it grow.
Became Bishop of Armagh, revered and wise,
Leading the faithful under Irish skies.
No taxes I claim, no riches I lend,
Only the love of the Lord I, do send.
On March 17th, my story is told,
The saint who shared his pot of gold.
Happy Saint Patrick’s Day to All!
