“Fifty Thousand Dollar Dream”
I’m dreaming of a candy apple red car.
Make it metallic — I’ll sure drive it far.
Its beauty should sparkle in the bright sunlight.
It will tickle my soul with loving delight.
Make all the chrome rims shine like a mirror.
Grandma wants to see her reflection clearer.
I’m certainly not an old fuddy duddy to dream like this;
But if you buy me my dream car; I’ll give you a big kiss.
Make it one of my favorites; a Mustang, or Corvette.
Make either one purr like a kitten for me– I’ll be all set.
Then please stay away, don’t touch my precious jewel,
Or I’ll clobber you with my shoe for being a dumb fool.
What a beautiful dream car, of candy apple red;
It would cost me mega monies, an arm and a leg!
So, I guess I’ll keep dreaming. And driving my clunker.
It’s reliable; it gets me from A to B and is a paid off junker.
