(A Silly Stumble Through Day, Night, and Everything In Between)
“I’m Laughing at Life Before it Laughs at Me”
When your feet are too big and shoes too small;
Tell mom you need to go to the corner mall.
If the mall is closed and you have nothing to wear.
Just tell mom you’re going to wash your hair.
If the water is not hot and it comes out cold;
Get a lemonade and don’t be fooled.
Life has its funny ups and downs;
Like a circus full of clowns.
The Big Top is where some belong,
As they screech, they can’t sing a song.
If the sun doesn’t shine at the break of day.
It must be night; I’m going back to bed and stay.
For the rain has come flowers will grow.
The sun will rise tomorrow too.
Still, my feet are too big, my shoes too small–
Mom still says, “No, you can’t, go to the mall.”
So, I guess I will wear my flip flops today.
I don’t need my socks; that saves my day.
I’ll go to the beach and have some fun,
Oops, I forgot it’s night, there is no sun.
Now what am I writing? I have no clue.
But I can tell you one thing, I am certainly through!
