A Beautiful Day Outdoors: Finding Joy in Nature

A cyclist on a winding road through green rolling hills with snow-capped mountains in the background

“It’s a Beautiful Day”

It’s a bright morning, so full of wonder, with beautiful sights and smells.

Trees are whispering thoughts through branches that no one tells.

The sun glaring through the trees and perking up flowers

You would never know it had just rained for hours.

~

With every breath I take, the air is so clean

The nitrous made my yard’s grass so beautifully green.

As I walk in this beauty that God has prepared for me

I don’t forget that He loves me, to you see.

~

My eyes are open, my heart is beating, I am alive

I can get in my car and go for a terrific Sunday drive.

To the mountains and valleys, over hills I’ll go

Looking at the wonders God made for us to know.

~

For wonder and beauty are so immense

And it’s sometimes rallied behind a rail fence.

With horses neighing and cattle chewing their cud;

I bet pigs playing in their freshly rained mud.

~

To enjoy all this wonder and beauty is such fun

Why would anyone want to ruin this fun on a run?

Life is worth living if you would just look around

It’s beautiful, I know, because it’s all that I found.
