“Peace Came with Grace”
As the night goes silent, the moon is high;
I can see every star in the sky.
There is something special in the still of the night.
The neighbors are quiet there not in a fight.
Peace reins tonight, I will enjoy;
The dogs are quiet, even the neighbor boy.
With peace at hand, it’s time to relax;
I’ll play some solitaire or pick up jacks.
An evening peaceful is such a delight;
I’m glad the neighbors are quiet, not in a fight.
I drink my tea, and play my games;
It’s so nice not hearing the calling of names.
I thank the lord Jesus for this peaceful night;
I’ll cherish it with all its delight.
As these days are far and very few;
Tomorrow will be something totally new.
