“My Little Green Visitor”
A tiny green lizard with a long and slender neck
comes scurrying every morning across my window deck.
Your brown friends dash like marbles rolling quickly on the ground,
but you move with gentle purpose—light and quiet, never loud.
You pause as if to greet me, a soft “I’m here today,”
and I always stop to watch as you dance along your way.
Those little feet are magic—they wiggle, glide, and groove.
You brighten my mornings with every step you move.
So keep on visiting, little friend, don’t wander far away.
My window feels much sunnier each time you come my way.
