Evening Rituals – A Warm Poem About Family, Bedtime, and Quiet Moments

A cozy living room at night with two children in pajamas playing quietly on the floor while their parents relax on the sofa behind them. Soft lamplight and a peaceful atmosphere reflect the poem’s theme of bedtime routines and evening calm.

“Evening Rituals”

When the sky turns dark and the stars come out,

It’s time for children to put pj’s on and stop the shout.

A peaceful time for Mom and dad to finally unwind,

A moment of rest from a long, hard day left behind.

~

Children, please – it’s bedtime now, it’s time to sleep,

Mom and Dad want quiet time, not a single peep.

Evenings come every night, some quiet, some loud,

It all depends on the love within its household’s crowd.

~

Remember the Waltons – a family of many,

Living in a small house with hardly a penny.

They were a loving family; they share what they had,

When tempers flared at times, the anger was never bad.
