The Joy of Restoring Grandma’s Wind Chimes

Wind chime hanging on a wooden porch with rocking chairs and potted plants

“Wind Chimes”

~

Repairs take time with nickels and dimes;

I’ve finally fixed my grandma’s chimes.

She had broken the strings that held the bells;

I fixed them strings well, boy, can you tell.

~

She won’t break these. My fishing line is tough.

Threaded those bells so real neat and fine.

They chime nicely when the light wind blows;

A way better sound than them cranky crows.

~

Grandma will be happy again to hear her chimes

That only cost me a few nickels and dimes.

I love my grandma with all my heart;

It will be a sad day if she does part.
