“God’s Critters, Two by Two – The Bug Ark”

Noah looked up and said, “It’s true,
I need the bugs to march in pairs of two?”
Mosquitoes buzzed, “We’re first in line!”
Noah groaned, “Lord, they’ll drink my wine!”

Ants came marching, crumb in hand,
Spiders weaving webs so grand.
Beetles polished up their tiny shells,
While crickets tuned their dinner bells.
~
Butterflies fluttered, all in pairs,
Ladybugs giggled, curling hairs.
Bees brought honey for the crew,
And flies just came — because they do.
~
The mantis bowed, so very devout,
The roaches scurried in and out.
Noah sighed, “Oh Lord, I pray,
Don’t let termites eat the Ark today!”
~
Two by two, every bug came,
Each with quirks and none with shame.
When rain poured down, they sang in glee —
“God’s Bug Ark floats! Hallelujah, we’re free!”
