What’s the weirdest coincidence you’ve ever experienced?
Well, you won’t believe this one. The day my future husband and I were going to apply for our marriage license, we met for lunch first. The courthouse was always packed during lunch hour, so we figured we’d go afterward. While we were eating, we started talking about the things you find on a birth certificate like what time we were born, what hospital, little details like that.
And that’s when the surprise hit us.
We discovered we were born in the same hospital, and delivered by the same doctor. Our weight was the same and our length too. Just the years were different by one year.
We already knew we had things in common as we went to the same high school, were in the same choir, and had crossed paths back then without realizing it. But…finding out we entered the world in the same place, delivered by the same doctors hands, was almost too much for us to believe.
Later, when we talked to our mothers about the wedding, we learned something even stranger: Our moms went to the same school together when they were young not knowing it also.
It felt like our lives had been quietly weaving together long before we ever met.
