The Longest Trip I Ever Took!

What’s the longest trip you’ve ever taken?

It wasn’t across the country, it was across the lobby.

Destination: the restroom.

Obstacles: one locked door, one taunting water fountain, and a bladder staging a hurry-up already, I’m going to burst, attitude.

By the time the “Occupied” sign was flipped, I’d traveled through every emotional checkpoint known to humankind – and counted every dirty spot on the floor, praying I wouldn’t have to use my own bladder water to clean it.

If you enjoy my writing, my books are here:

Indeed, such journeys can be painfully long. A 10–15 minute wait can feel longer than a journey from the east coast to the west coast. Einstein’s theory of relativity has finally been proved 😄

You’re so right — time completely breaks down in that hallway. I’m convinced the “Occupied” sign creates its own gravitational field. Every minute stretches like taffy until you start questioning your life choices, your bladder strength, and the laws of physics. Einstein would’ve taken one look at that door and said, “Yep… this tracks.”
