Skeleton Bell Gets a New Home – Cute Halloween Poem About Friendship and Frights

Friendly skeleton bell beside a cozy cottage door

“Skeleton Bell Gets New Home”

~

There once was an old lady, Skeleton Bell;

Lost her brain making a wish in the wishing well.

Looking for luck, she got her foot stuck;

When the thunder boomed, lightning struck.

~

It was no matter, she couldn’t complain;

All because she had lost her brain.

Being alone on Halloween night;

Gave Bell an evening of horrible fright.

~

Until she saw a young girl, and asked, “Who are you?”

“Can you find my brain, or buy me one new?”

No one could hear Skeleton Bell speak.

Not a sound, or even, a baby squeak.

~

Yet a little girl saw poor Bell just lying there;

Picked her up and gave her care.

Hung her at the front door of her home.

Thinking out loud, “Now I’m not alone.”
