When Plumbing Takes a Turn, Not for the Best – A Humorous Bedtime Poem by Grandma Winter

Tool bag labeled PLUMBER beside a leaking kitchen sink

“When Plumbing Takes a Turn, Not for the Best”

~

I’m a plumber bothered at night

With the sound of water taking flight.

Makes my eve so very unstilled

Please Lord, I’m not thrilled.

~

I, fix these things everyday

Come home tired from making my pay.

Silence is golden when I’m home

Not so today from the dripping gnome.

~

I’m a professional who must fix

So, my house can no longer play tricks.

Of drip, drip here, drip, drip, there.

Plumbing is my job; I do with care.

~

No more drip, no more gnome

Silence finally in my home.

Time to relax with no more drip

I’m too tired to do a flip.

~

Good night zzz
