Ebeneezer’s Freezer Blues: A Real-Life Household Mishap

Man pours leaking Ziploc bag into green trash bin

“Ebeneezer’s Freezer Blues”

~

Fishy, fishy, in my freezer;

I love you so; I’m Ebeneezer.

I’m so sorry; I got to throw you out;

I hate to do it now; I’ll do it with a pout.

~

My freezer somehow got turned off;

Excuse me while I turn and cough.

I can’t afford to get sick eating you;

It’s bad enough; I’m colored blue.

~

Filleted you perfectly, ready to eat

Now, the bugs get to enjoy you as their treat.

Oh, my stomach aches with pain

Whose, the dummy, do I blame?

~

It’s those nasty repairpersons down below;

They hate me; I just know.

Oh, you poor fish. You got to go.

My heart and stomach pain, me so.

~

Bye-bye, little fish.

Now, I’m going to make a wish.

About those nasty people below,

That Ebeneezer hates to know.

~

I’ll make those nasty pay;

But not today,

I’m tired; need a nap;

From all this stupid, stupid crap.
